One-to-One French Coaching
This is more than a weekly French lesson.
It’s personalised, structured coaching that evolves with you.
Lessons designed around you
Learning French should be something you enjoy! That's why getting to know you is at the heart of my teaching approach. Your level, goals, interests, personality and learning style all shape the lessons I prepare for you.
I don't use traditional textbooks. Instead, I work with authentic French materials adapted to your level and interests:
- podcasts, books, TV series
- news articles, virtual museum and château tours
- GeoGuessr
- virtual board games
- recipes, crafts …
The possibilities are endless!
What matters is finding resources that spark your curiosity and make you want to engage with French.
Every lesson is built around a clear language goal, so even when we're exploring a topic you love, you're learning and practising something specific. You'll be actively involved, using French in meaningful situations rather than simply completing exercises.
As you speak, I listen carefully to identify what's holding you back. Whether it's a recurring grammar mistake, a pronunciation difficulty or a gap in your vocabulary, we'll work on it together and practise it in context until the French you need starts to come more naturally.
Over time, I'll get to know your strengths, recognise patterns in your difficulties and adapt our lessons as your skills, needs and confidence evolve.
I make every lesson enjoyable, engaging and genuinely useful for your progress.

Prefer to take your French beyond the screen?
Turn your coaching into a real-life French immersion.
For students who want to accelerate their progress or simply experience what happens when French becomes the language of the entire day, I also offer private, tailor-made immersion experiences in France.
Your immersion can take place at the historic Château d’Avanton near Poitiers.
Lessons become conversations.
Conversations continue over coffee, meals, walks, markets and cultural visits.
You don’t study French anymore. You simply live in French.

So how do you go from KNOWING French to SPEAKING it with confidence?
1. Stop waiting until your French is perfect.
You don't need to master every grammar rule before you start speaking. Use the French you already know. Make mistakes. That's part of the process!
2. Focus on communicating, not performing.
Speaking French isn't a grammar test. Your goal is to express an idea, share an experience, have a conversation. You don't need the perfect sentence to be understood.
3. Reuse what you learn.
Instead of constantly learning new vocabulary, practise using words and expressions you already know in different situations. The more you use them, the more naturally they'll come to you.
4. Get plenty of meaningful input.
Listen to French you can understand: podcasts, videos, conversations… Exposure helps your brain become familiar with natural sentence structures and expressions that you'll eventually use yourself. I'll help you find resources that match your level, interests and learning goals.
5. Practise speaking in a supportive environment.
In our lessons, you'll have plenty of opportunities to engage in real conversations. I'll give you time to think, encourage you to express yourself and help you improve by correcting your mistakes without constantly interrupting the flow of conversation.
And most importantly, don't confuse speaking slowly with speaking badly. Confidence develops through practice.
More speaking, less overthinking!
